The 2025 Musser Marimba Festival Orchestra performs Arturo Fernandez’s Alia-The-Strange: A Concert Piece on Dune in Manheim, Pennsylvania, with the composer as theremin soloist.

Fernandez adapted this version for keyboard percussion orchestra. The music explores the character Alia from Frank Herbert’s Dune. Matthew Coley is music director and conductor, with Jenni Brandon as associate conductor.
